I Couldn’t Resist

Hi there,

retrovalentine-2012-02-15-12-281.jpg

I know St Valentine’s over but I love UHK Gallery challenge theme so much that I decided to add one more post and proposition to the competition.
Two months or so ago I fund in my local antique boutique charming vintage post cards from the 20-ties I thought it was perfect material for romantic valentines. I can’t pass the bargain when I see one. I present you a retro valentine I created using one of the cards. Enjoy and good luck in the challenge if you’re participating.☺

To make the valentine I used:

16x16cm card stock for a base;
My Mind’s Eye designer papers “Lost&Found” (great selection of 180 pages); Spellbinders “Fancy Tags Two” die;
Sentiment stamp Hero Arts;
Corner die from Mariannes Design;
Flower and ribbon from my stash to finish off the card. I painted the label and corners with bronze metallic acrylic paint and stamped the sentiment with Jet-black archival ink.

Happy scrap booking and see you soon.
