Challenge

Hi scrap-bookers,

Today I’d like to share with you another idea that I’m going to enter in UHK Gallery calendar challenge and Divas by Design Anything Goes challenge 20.
We received those cheap souvenir agendas from our bank … dull, grey with logo everywhere. I thought… well, lets do something about it. I looked through my stash of paper and scraps for inspiration and came up with this… (I don’t provide you with the picture “Before” because I don’t want to advertise the bank LOL).

I made one for myself and one for my hubby… this year we’ll celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary, my man travels a lot in business so I thought I’ll make him something he can take with and think about me when he’s away (although he’s an “inspector gadget” and uses the newest technology, he liked very much the little old fashioned gift).

To customize the agendas I used:

For HIS:

Paper – from StampingUp collection but I really don’t remember the name because it is their older design I had in my stash;
That cute dog is a die from Provo Craft;
Circle cutting dies;
Scrap card stock to make the embellishments, some 3D foam, some fabric sticker letters I painted with crackle paint, Viva Décor bronze (it’s very fine cracks so you can’t really see the effect on the picture, but trust me, it is really cool looking);
Ranger Distress Ink “Walnut Stain”;
And in the corners I used photo corners that I modified a little and Distressed with ink to match the design.

For HERS:

Paper- Prima “Printery Collection” (I love designs in that pack);
Bird punch from StampingUp;
Fiscars edge punch “lace” to finish off the edge of the agenda;
BossCut die “Flourish”;
Some felt flower, 3D foam, vintage brad from Creative Charms, and the same fabric sticker letters that I pained using the same crackle paint like on HIS ;
KesiArt die “Dandelions”;
Ranger Distress Ink.

I hope you like the idea of customizing otherwise uninspiring agendas and making them unique. I love recycling things.

Happy scrap booking and see you soon.
