Happy St Valentine’s Day

Happy St Valentine’s scrap bookers!

Today I wanted to share with you two St Valentine card designs.

As you can see they are not very complicated to do and I hope you will like the ideas.
First one is a horisontal card. Mesures 9.5 cm x 14.5cm. I used Naturals Ivory card stock by Stampin’Up and Funky Vintage by trimcraft paper for the background and sponged the edges with Ranger’s Walnut stain Distress ink. The little hearts on the right side are accentuated with a ribbon that I sticked to the inside of the card. I heat embossed the three hearts with a clear embossing powder, the same with the sentiment in the corner and the ornament at the bottom of the card and finished the design off with sticking rhinestones to the hearts.

Card number two I made for my husband. We celebrate our wedding anniversary on the 13th of February so he got his card a bit earlier.

I used Naturals Ivory card stock by Stampin’Up and created my own background paper using small heart stamp and Stampin’ Up inks (ruby red and cameo coral). The card measures 11.5 x 14.7cm. As a matter of fact I made a mistake cutting my card stock, hence the previous card is smaller. I don’t like to waste paper.
I aged the edges with Ranger’s Walnut stain Distress ink, cut out the heart shape and heat embossed design onto the card stock. I made a label that was attached with some old silver looking brads to match the embossing powder and placed them onto the card using 3D dimensionals by Stampin’Up.
I thought that something’s missing and decided to add some eyelets and rope for even more rustic look.

I hope you like the designs.
Enjoy your day and happy scrap booking
