Sketch from Scrapbook Sisters

Hello scrap-bookers,

Today I would like to present you with new card I made in response to challenge from Scrapbook Sisters. It’s a masculine birthday card.

I hope you like it and here’s how I made it.

Step 1:

I chose a card stock for a base 16x16cm (about 6 ½ “), and distressed the edges using Ranger Walnut stain Distress Ink.

Step 2:

I cut patterned paper about 1cm smaller than the base and distressed the edges using scissors for the rough look, then I measured and cut strip of paper for accent element, using circular cutting dies I cut out the frame and circle for the middle of my card.

Step 3:

I used Marianne design Creatables vintage car die for embellishment. I “VersaMarked “ the die cut and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder from StampingUp. For finishing touches I coloured the wheels and added the bling in the middle.

Step 4:

I cut the gears using Tim Holtz Alterations Movers & Shapers and using very fine sand paper I gave them a distressed look.

Step 5:

Time to assemble the card.
Glue the pattern papers; glue the middle circle, next on it -the car- using 3D foam, add the circular frame. Arrange the gear embellishments and glue them using 3D foam, and at the end don’t forget to add the banner with the sentiment.

Happy scrap-booking and see you soon.
