“FRIENDS”

friend

Paris is beautiful no one can deny. But very often overwhelmed with its architecture and rich exteriors people easily fail to see that there’s more to the city. Homelessness is all around the streets of Paris.

I was walking one Sunday morning with some fellow photographers that I was showing the city to, and I just couldn’t pass indifferently those two pals. They were sitting there on the pavement in the middle of busy boulevard St Michel, among passersby, cars and boutiques…what a contrast to their lives? In that moment when I was snapping the picture I thought… they look happy despite everything. What a faithful friend who doesn’t pass judgment, who doesn’t care if you poor he’s happy to get his share of bread, I thought. In a split moment I wandered if those two chums aren’t happier than most of us? I leave you with that reflection…
