Festive Flowers at Divas

Hi there,
I’m a little bit late with my post this week but I have been working on some orders already for Christmas. Doesn’t time fly? Anyway, it is hard for me to put myself into Christmas mood as we were blessed with gorgeous weather for the past weeks and the sunshine and warm temperatures do not exactly evoke winter mood. Having said that… today it is less summer and more autumn so nature is taking its course into shorter gloomy days. Never mind, As I mentioned I was already working on some orders for Christmas and as at Divas this week we want to see your creations with festive florals/Christmas flowers, my proposition for you is a Christmas wreath…
I got myself lately amazing poinsettia flowers dies from Die-namics and they inspired me to make my wreath a bit more traditional this year.

Our sponsor this week is Live & Love Crafts and as every week some lucky winner will receive a surprise.
For some more awesome inspirations visit our blog and check out what my colleagues prepared for you.

Here’s my Christmas wreath:

To make it I used:

25cm Styrofoam circle;
Cotton twine (white);
Burgundy and dark green card stock;
Distress ink “Forest moss”,
Die: Die-namics, Poinsettia;
Glue gun, wooden circles ornaments and buttons from Docraft for my other embellishments, and some golden ribbon to finish off the decorations.

1) I begun with putting my cotton white twine around the Styrofoam and securing it.

2) I cut out elements to assemble my poinsettia flowers, distressed the leaves and attached them with the glue gun to my wreath.

3) I glued my wooden circles for more festive look and added some white flower buttons and golden ribbon to finish the design.

My first decoration for Christmas is done and there are many more to share with you so stay tuned. Happy crafting and see you soon. 🙂

  1. This is really beautiful Justyna. Very festive. The weather is very confusing this year for us all. I have a daughter living in France and she is still sitting outside in the sun and having her meals.
