I can’t believe that Easter is just around the corner…
My cards are done and posted and I wanted to share with you the last one I made inspired by ladies from UHK Gallery. For their challenge they asked to use colours that are normally not associated with Ester: ecru, black, white, creamy, grey, brown…
I’m comfortable with that pallet and I chose black (for my image), ecru (as a in a gift frame), contrasting Rich Razzleberry and River Rock colours by Stamping Up.

To make my card I used:

Image from Graphics Fairy that you can find here;
Frame gift fromUHK GALLERY here;
Computer and PS to combine two images, Printer ;
Card stock Rich Razzleberry, very Vanilla and River Rock by Stamping Up;
Glue, precision knife, distress ink, two matching brads and stamp from Aladine.

How to make the card:

Step 1. In PhotoShop combine the two images, adjust to your liking and print one copy of merged images and one of just the frame.

Step 2. From the image with the frame cut out the flower heads.

Step 3. From the merged image cut out spaces between the flowers and glue the flower heads you cut out previously. Make sure you match the flowers.

Step 4. Measure approximately 1.5cm frame around the main image and glue it onto contrasting Rich Razzleberry card stock leaving 0.5 cm excess around.
Glue it onto the base made with the River Rock card stock. Add headline and attach it with two brads. Distress the edges of the card if you like and the card is ready.

The technique I used is a little time consuming and requires some patience and precision with your cutting tool. But I think it is worth the effort.
